According Metrotvnews (12/21/2015) that Previously, Harvey has been read out winners Runner Up was Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and Runner Up II Miss USA Olivia Jordan.
Once the crown is embedded in the head Gutierrez, Harvey sheepishly informed the audience that he misread the name on the card in his hand.
"I must apologize," said Harvey, making the audience and the contestants stunned.
"There was an error. The runner-up is Colombia. Miss Universe 2015 is the Philippines!" said Harvey cited 9news.com.au.
Gutierrez faces could not hide her surprise and shock. He seemed to experience the humiliation and embarrassment when the crown and sash of Miss Universe was stripped in front of audiences around the world who watch the show live on television.
Harvey said it was a "terrible mistake." Harvey admits this is entirely a personal error that is not scrupulous in reciting the name of the winner.
This is not the first time there was an error in the reading of beauty contest winner. Previously, the same thing happened in the final of Australia's Next Top Model in 2010.
Host Sarah Murdoch announced the wrong winner's name. Kelsey Martinovich mentioned as the winner. In fact, the real winners are Amanda Ware woman of 18 years who was runner-up.
